Castello di Vergnano

The Vinegar Cellar

Castello di Vergnano rises on the sun-kissed hills of Albinea, a place blessed by light and caressed by a gentle breeze.
We could tell you how the unique microclimate allows the grapes to reach perfect ripeness, giving the cooked must its intense aroma and natural sweetness. Or we could speak of the slow, patient aging in fine wooden barrels. But the truth is that the essence of our land and our passion can only be truly experienced by visiting the Acetaia.

Our Story

Just outside Montericco lies the village of San Geminiano. As early as the 10th century, a church dedicated to the saint of the same name was built here, later restored by the founders of the company, Paola and Massimo.
This place, steeped in history, is now the setting that welcomes you to Castello di Vergnano.
